[edit] Future plans for the Widelands Editor and it's development status[edit] About this pageHere, the new draft for the widelands editor is written. We start from the state in build-9 and define what the editor should be able to do and how the user can enter this informations into the editor. This document is likely to change quite often, when things are completed they are removed from this document, so this only contains the Editor TODOs.
[edit] Sections[edit] Splitting the editor from the game -- undecided[edit] Seperating the editor in various part -- undecidedIt seems like a good idea to seperate the editor in various 'editing sections' with own buttons and tools to select from the main screen. One of the sections would be something like 'Terrain + Resources + Bobs' which would be the most basic part of editing (and of course the only part needed for non scenario maps). One would be 'Buildings + Roads + Their options' for making infrastructure; one would be 'Ai params', one would be 'areas'. Maybe this is all crap and all the advanced options should only get their own tools.
